The thing that I love most about Liga MX is that just when you think you’ve seen every thing there is to see, something else happens that makes you appreciate just how much more there really is. In the 15th minute of the match between Club América and Santos Laguna, América announced that Andrés Ibargüen was leaving the club. As is customary when a player leaves, they tweeted a thank you and wished him luck with his next club.
Thank you for your effort and dedication, Andrés Ibargüen!

It wouldn’t be long before fans knew where Ibargüen’s next destination was.
Bit of mid-game breaking news!!

Andrés Ibargüen is a #Guerrero!! He joins the squad from this evening's opponent Club América.
Welcome to La Comarca Lagunera, Andrés !! #ModoGuerrero ⚔️ pic.twitter.com/r7eBYnRygQ
If this sort of thing has happened before, it’s not something I’ve ever heard of and it’s honestly the sort of thing that makes me love this league with all of my heart. Ibargüen was not on either team’s roster this evening, however one can safely assume the left winger will report to his new team tomorrow morning for training.
