PODCAST: New Year, New Season

This week’s episode is sponsored by the gap closing, ill-tempered managers, cheeto-haired center forwards and COVID-19 being a thing of the past (right?)

We’re finally back! After a month-long hiatus for the holidays, Antonio and Nes are dusting off the old mic and getting back into the groove of things for the new Guard1anes 2021 season.

This new season of the podcasts promises to bring in more exciting guests and segments (leave your suggestions down below!) but this week we’re starting things off slowly.

The boys recap what happened during the offseason including Cruz Azul’s meltdown, LAFC ~ almost ~ making history against Tigres in the CCL, Miguel Herrera getting dumped by Club America, and the COVID-19 debacles going around Liga MX as a whole.

We also, like always, get carried away with other topics like in the clip below.

Monterrey got two of their games rescheduled due to basically the whole team getting COVID, and then still playing against Club America, which infected them. Other players are also still partying and getting suspensions from their teams. It’s a lot to discuss and we cover it all, so listen in!
