Club America are actively searching for a foreign talent to fill the right wing recently vacated by the speedy Renata Ibarra.
Miguel Herrera, the club manager, said they are discussing four potential candidates in which he hopes he lands at least one for this upcoming Guardianes 2020 tournament.
There has not been any leaked names as of yet, however, I believe one particular player who should considered is Rubens Sambueza. He was a decorated player for Club America for five years scoring 25 goals in 194 appearances for America. While that's not an impressive goal to game ratio, his influence, leadership and playmaking ability is where he is most effective and could prove to be useful for Herrera's attack this upcoming tournament. Even coming off the bench, he is one run or pinpoint pass away from changing the game.
Sambueza has never shied away from wanting to return the biggest club in Mexico even saying earlier this summer his desire to suit up for the 13 time league champions.
America will begin their season Monday, July 27 against Pachcua at 6PM pacific time.
