Josecarlos Van Rankin out of eLiga MX because of thumb fatigue

Santos Laguna has announced the first injury in eLiga MX, as Josecarlos Van Rankin will leave the tournament. Van Rankin had trouble in his thumb and got diagnosed with thumb fatigue. He will be replaced by Eduardo Aguirre and Van Rankin becomes the first injury in eLiga MX. Santos will face Cruz Azul in their next eLiga MX game.

Santos has played two games in eLiga MX. In their debut they defeated Tijuana by a score of 5-1. Then they fell against Leon by a score of 4-1. They were set up to face Cruz Azul and practicing for that game, Van Rankin started to feel pain in his thumb. Tests given to him confirmed to have fatigue in the thumb, and thus he will have to be replaced by “Mudo” Aguirre. The news started getting a lot of humorous reaction to it through the web. Although it’s understandable why they are making fun of him, it’s not that strange as these are professional football players not professional gamers. No word yet of when is Van Rankin expected to return, but it shouldn’t be as long as a “real”injury.
