Mexico Coach Jaime Lozano has named the roster for the U23 National Team Training Camp that will be held in the Centro de Alto Rendimiento (CAR). The Training Camp is in preparation for next year’s CONCACAF Olympic games qualifiers to be held in Guadalajara. It will start on Sunday November 8th and will continue until November 15th.

The list was the following:

Goalkeepers: Sebastian Jurado (Cruz Azul), Luis Malagon (Necaxa), Carlos Higuera (Tijuana)

Defenders: Johan Vasquez (Pumas), Adrian Mora (Toluca), Alejandro Mayorga (Pumas), Ismael Govea (Santos), Cristian Calderon (Chivas), Alan Mozo (Pumas), Brayton Vasquez (Atlas), Vladimir Loroña (Tijuana)

Midfielders: Roberto Alvarado (Cruz Azul), Fernando Beltran (Chivas), Marcel Ruiz (Tijuana), Erik Lira (Pumas), Jairo Torres (Atlas), Erick Sanchez (Pachuca), Jesus Ricardo Angulo (Chivas), Alan Cervantes (Santos), Jose Esquivel (FC Juarez)

Forwards: Alexis Vega (Chivas), Santiago Gimenez (Cruz Azul), Cesar Huerta (Mazatlan), Eduardo Aguirre (Santos)

Among the notable return is that of Eduardo Aguirre and the first call up to Pumas midfield standout Erik Lira. Among the omissions, the most notable are of Sebastian Cordova and Uriel Antuna, who will be going with the Senior National team to the European friendlies to be played in Austria during the FIFA dates. Also out is Jose Juan Macias, who missed the last Chivas game against Pumas because of injury and is probably not healthy enough to be called up for National Team duty.
