Coach Gerardo Martino named the 26 player roster of the Mexican National team that will play against South Korea and Japan in the November FIFA Date. Martino called a lot of the players from the friendlies against the Netherlands and Algeria played in October, where Mexico defeated the Dutch team and tied the African side. Both games were played in the Netherlands. Mexico will face South Korea on November 14th and Japan in November 17th. Both games are set to be played in Austria. The federation also confirmed that so far the friendlies are still set to be played even when a spike in COVID-19 cases had made government in Europe, like Austria, to be more severe in their restrictions.

Among the most notable returns is of goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who missed the last European tour after getting injured in the warmups to the America vs. Cruz Azul match. Also set to return is attacker Hirving Lozano, who had to miss the games because of a mandatory quarantine to the Napoli club players after a number of positive COVID 19 tests.
Also returning to the team is Sebastian Cordova and Uriel Antuna, who weren’t chosen for the past friendlies and remained with the U23 Mexican National team in Mexico. Among the players who weren’t called up were European based Omar Govea, Jesus Gomez, and Gerardo Arteaga. Also missing was Alan Pulido, who got injured with his MLS team Sporting Kansas City and is out for three weeks.
