Mexico announced the 20 player call up list of the U18 team that will play in the Copa del Atlantico to be held in the Canary Islands, Spain from January 28 to the 31. Mexico will be facing Slovakia, Japan and the hosts Spain in the Tournament and will be led by coach Marcos Ayala. The lead is led by Marcelo Flores of Arsenal (who will join the team in Spain) and forward Diego Abreu, son of Uruguayan striker Sebastian Abreu.

Goalkeepers: Rodrigo Barrientos (Queretaro), Diego Reyes (Morelia)
Defenders: Matias Cendejas (Chivas), Sebastian Yanez (Tijuana), Angel Garcia (Atlas), Jesus Alcantar (Cimarrones), Fernando Alvarez (Pachuca)
Midfielders: Marcelo Flores (Arsenal), Adrian Gonzalez (LA Galaxy), Sebastian Martinez (America), Jonathan Perez (LA Galaxy), Edson Castellanos (Pachuca), Emmanuel Echeverira (Santos), Juan Robles (Queretaro), Ricardo Hijar (Tijuana)

Mexico will debut in the tournament against Japan on January 28. They will then face Slovakia on January 29 and close out the tournament against Spain on January 31. All games will be played in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.
