Mexico announce U17 call up list for 4 Nation Tournament

El Tri lines up matches with Denmark, the Netherlands, and the United States

Mexico has announced that they will be participating in the Four Nation Tournament to be held in the Netherlands in preparation for the U17 World Cup. The tournament will be played from September 2nd to the 10th. The nations that will be participating will be Mexico, The Netherlands, the United States and Denmark. It will be a good preparation tournament including facing the host team, which is one of the favorites to win the World Cup.

The call up list was the following:

Goalkeepers: Eduardo Garcia (Chivas), Arturo Delgado (Tigres), Gerardo Magaña (Morelia)

Defenders: Jesus Gomez (Atlas), Leonardo Vilchis (Pachuca), Jose Ruiz (Chivas), Rafael Martinez (Atlas), Oliver Perez (Pumas), Jesus Orozco (Chivas), Luis Rey (Morelia), Emilio Lara (America), Victor Guzman (Tijuana)

Midfielders: Bruce El-Mesmari (Pachuca), Joel Gomez (Queretaro), Bryan Gonzalez (Pachuca), Kevin Mariscal (Chivas), Eugenio Pizzuto (Pachuca), Edgar Martinez (Monterrey), Kevin Ortega (Pachuca), Gustavo Martinez (Atlas), Jair Gonzalez (Santos)

Forwards: Teun Wilke (Herenveen), Israel Luna (Pachuca), Santiago Muñoz (Santos), Luis Puente (Chivas), Ali Avila (Monterrey), Jorge Lumbreras (Necaxa)

Mexico will play in the U17 World Cup in Brazil to be held in October and November of 2019. They will play in Group F along with Italy, Paraguay and the Solomon Islands. They will play in their debut against Paraguay on October 28th.
