With the return of Teun Wilke and the absence of Efrain Alvarez being the most noteworthy, Mexico announced the squad that will play the Niigata tournament from July 13 to the 15th in preparation of the U-17 World Cup to be held later this year in Brazil. Mexico qualified to the World Cup after winning the CONCACAF U-17 Tournament. The team will start training in the Centro de Alto Rendimiento (CAR) on July 7 in preparation for the tournament, although many players will skip the camp. Mexico will play two friendlies during the camp.
