Pachuca and Tigres will officially set in motion the 2019 Liga MX Clausura Liguilla when both of these sides clash on Wednesday at the Estadio Hidalgo.
With the First Leg being played in Pachuca’s home ground, the onus is clearly on Los Tuzos to grab a positive result. Pachuca have been near perfect at the Estadio Hidalgo, where they finished the regular season with a perfect record of eight wins in eight matches. In total, Pachuca have not lost in 15 straight matches at the Estadio Hidalgo
But just because Pachuca have been rock solid at the Estadio Hidalgo doesn’t mean Tigres don’t have enough talent to at least grab an away goal from this match. In fact, Los Felinos have gone unbeaten in their last four meetings versus Pachuca.
Moreover, Tigres might not have any other choice. After losing the CONCACAF Champions League Final last week to their rivals Monterrey, it’s league title or bust for Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti's men, as they search for their fifth Liga MX trophy in eight years.
