The 2019 Liga MX Clausura regular season has reached its conclusion, which mean it is time for the “fiesta grande” of Mexican fútbol.
Eight teams have clinched a place in the Liguilla, and another ten have been eliminated, including Chivas, Pumas UNAM, and Toluca.

Club León set Liga MX ablaze this season with a record-breaking 12 straight victories, but all of it will mean little if La Fiera don’t go on to lift the title at the end of the Liguilla.
In addition to León, the other big favorite is Tigres, who will look to put their CONCACAF Champions League Final disappointment aside as they search for their fifth league title in less than ten years.
Speaking of the CONCACAF Champions League Final, another Clásico Regiomontano Final isn’t out of the question, with Rayados looking to earn the coveted “doblete”.
But the matchup that everybody will be talking about in this first round of the Liguilla will be a repeat of last season’s final between Club América vs Cruz Azul. Will this finally be the year that Cruz Azul get the best of their Mexico City rivals? Or will the defending champions make history again?
