Tigres’s quest for its first international title in club history takes them to the city of Houston where they will take on the Dynamo as part of the Quarterfinals of the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League.

Tigres arrive to this game after having defeated Deportivo Saprissa in the Round of 16 by an aggregate score of 5-2. Los Felinos are currently league leaders in Liga MX with 22 points and have accumulated a total of six straight victories in the league.

The Houston Dynamo, on the other hand, had to get past Guastatoya to get to this stage of the tournament and will look to take an advantage heading into the second leg in Nuevo León. At home, the Dynamo have been no slouch, losing just once in their last six across all competitions.

However, it is expected that a large contingency of Tigres fans will occupy huge chunks of the BBVA Compass Stadium, given the proximity of Houston to Nuevo León and the large presence of Tigres fans residing in the state of Texas. Whether that will make a difference or not remains to be seen, but it does make for one of the more intriguing matchups of the Quarterfinals stage of the CONCACAF Champions League.
