For the second time in a span of four days, las Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara and Club América clash in the Clásico Nacional.

Chivas will be out for vengeance after Las Águilas triumphed in their midweek Copa MX game, where Miguel Herrera’s men dominated from start to finish to claim a place in the Semifinals of the competition.

For the Rebaño Sagrado, this is without question a must-win game, with the team currently sitting eighth in the league standings with only 15 points. Chivas have been a bit of a hit or a miss throughout the Clausura, but they’ve been in a downward spiral for a while now, winning just once in their last six across all competitions.

América, on the other hand, have to be buzzing after their dominant win over their rivals. Las Águilas are just one point above Chivas in the league table, but have shown a lot more consistency lately, with just one defeat in their last six.

Ten games into the season, it might feel like there is a lot left to play in the Clausura, but with only three points separating fourth place from twelfth, any defeat could prove extremely damaging, especially a confidence breaking one like a Clásico. Make no mistake about it, this one is going to be intense right from the get-go.
