An Enner Valencia hat-trick helped set-up a 5-1 Tigres win over Deportivo Saprissa and a place in the Quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Champions League.
Saprissa started the game with a 1-0 lead in the tie following a win in the First Leg ,but soon found themselves leveled after an Aubrey David own goal in the 15th minute.
Tigres then took the lead ten minutes later through an Enner Valencia penalty kick before the Ecuadorian scored a second moments later.
The goal deflated Saprissa, and Tigres were in complete control of the match, eventually scoring a third from an Eduardo Vargas strike.
Despite Tigres’ dominance, Saprissa were given a chance when a nice play down the left wing ended with Mariano Torres putting the ball into the back of the net.
But in the 61st minute, Valencia completed his hat-trick, and in the process sealed the tie in favor of the Felinos.
With the result, Tigres will now face Houston Dynamo in the Quarterfinals of the competition.
