The draw for the 2020 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League was held on Monday. The draw itself left us with some juicy match-ups, but the one that clearly stands above the rest is the one between newcomers Los Angeles Football Club and Liga MX side Club León.
Among other Liga MX sides, Tigres will take on El Salvador’s Alianza with the possibility of a meeting with Major League Soccer’s New York City Football Club in the Quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, Club América could also potentially take on a Major League Soccer side in the Quarterfinals in Atlanta United, but first, they’ll have to get past Guatemala’s Comunicaciones.
Finally, Cruz Azul have one of the easier paths to the Quarterfinals as they are set to take on Jamaica’s Portmore United, with the winner of said tie scheduled to take on the winner between Carlos Vela’s LAFC and Club León.
The tournament is said to begin in late February, and as ever, the winner will qualify to the Club World Cup.
