Club América’s quest for a record 14th league title takes them to Michoacan as they take on Monarcas Morelia in the First Leg of their Semifinals series.

After taking down third seed Tigres, las Águilas go up against the dark horse of the tournament, Monarcas Morelia, looking to keep their dominance over the Michoacanos going.

América has always been a sort of bogey team for Morelia and go into this match on the back of just one defeat in their last 11 meetings versus Monarcas. But if there is one team that is carrying all the momentum right now, it is Morelia. Pablo Guede’s side was a bit fortunate to go past Club León in the quarterfinals, but in a Liguilla that has been all about underdogs, Morelia aren't taking this chance for granted.
