While the Clásico Regio scooped up all of the headlines, there was plenty of good viewing throughout the league.

Puebla 2, Toluca 0: Brissa Rangel and the Puebla kept their third clean sheet of the season as La Franja downed Toluca. Mariela Jiménez scored two goals in the second half to propel Puebla to fourth place in Group 1. Toluca is now sixth in the group, however has a game in hand.

Chivas 1, Necaxa 0: Miriam Castillo’s golazo in the 72nd minute was the difference as hosts Chivas beat Necaxa 1-0. Chivas peppered Necaxa goalkeeper Andrea Rivera with seven shots on goal, while Chivas goalkeeper Blanca Félix made two saves for her third shutout of the season. Chivas now sits in fourth place in Group 2, while Necaxa is last in the group with a game in hand.

Pumas UNAM 1, Lobos BUAP 0: Edna Santamaria took advantage of a defensive mistake by Lobos BUAP to give host Pumas the win over Lobos BUAP, who now sit in fifth place in Group 1. Pumas now sits in third place, four points out of first place with a game in hand.

Querétaro 4, Santos Laguna 0: Querétaro now sit in seventh place in Group 2 thanks to their dominant win over Santos Laguna. Sandy Cruzado got scoring started in the 41st minute on a great cross from Elisa Espino. Espino would then score the next two, a quick-turn golazo in the 57th and a hard-fought second effort goal in the 68th. Rebeca Villuendas had a highlight reel free kick goal as the clock struck the 90 minute mark.

Veracruz 0, Pachuca 3: Pachuca continued its dominance of Group 1 with a 3-0 win over eighth place Veracruz. Mónica Ocampo got the scoring started just before halftime with a fantastic play to pull the ball down out of mid-air and hit a rocket from 20 yards out. After the half it was the Yanin Madrid show, as the attacking midfielder took a square ball from Ocampo and knocked it in on the underside of the crossbar in the 47th and then hit a left-footed laser in the 66th to seal the match.

León 0, Atlas 1: María Pérez’ goal in the tenth minute was enough for Atlas to get their fourth win of the season and stay atop Group 2. León however sits in fifth place, one point behind Chivas with a game in hand.

Tigres UANL 1, Monterrey 1: Two of Liga MX Femenil’s best met in front of over 30,000 fans at El Volcán in a Clásico Regio that lived up to the billing. Tigres was precise and composed on the ball while Monterrey pressured and counterattacked. In the 23rd minute, Belén Cruz seized on a rare defensive mistake by Rayadas and played a square ball to Katty Martínez who fired one past Claudia Lozoya to give Tigres the lead. It would hold until deep in stoppage time when Tigres goalkeeper Ofelia Solís punched out a free kick but only as far as Mariana Cadena. Cadena shot and hit nothing but net to secure a point for Rayadas, who sit tied with Tigres with 10 points (although Monterrey has a game in hand).

Tijuana 0, Club América 1: A 48th minute golazo from Betzy Cuevas was the difference between second place Club América and seventh place Tijuana. Cuevas was able to pull the ball down from about hip-height and hit a powerful volley into the top corner to secure the win for the visitors.
