Atlas 2, Chivas 0: Atlas was able to defeat their cross-town rivals for the first time ever, downing Chivas 2-0 on Saturday. A sixth minute half-volley golazo from Daniela Pérez got the hosts on the board, and a thundering right-footed blast from Joana Robles as the match went into halftime would seal the Clásico Tapatío for Atlas.

Goals from Diana González in the fifth minute and Betzy Cuevas in the 38th minute came off of corner kicks, while Esmeralda Verdugo’s goal in the 88th was a blast from distance that ricocheted in off of the underside of the crossbar. Kenya Téllez scored the lone goal for Toluca in the sixth minute thanks to a great ball from Natalia Mauleon.

Monterrey 5, Necaxa 1: A dominant first-half performance by Monterrey, thanks to a brace by Daniela Solís, a goal by Hilary García, and an autogol by Liliana Sánchez. Vyaney Zorilla would pull one back for Necaxa in the 83rd when she chipped goalkeeper Claudia Lozoya, but Dinora Garza would hit one from close range at the death to return Monterrey’s four goal advantage.

Lobos BUAP 3, Cruz Azul 0: When the match ended on Monday the scoreboard showed a 1-1 draw, however Cruz Azul were later found to have broken the rules. Cruz Azul Femenil had too many players 25 or older (technically speaking, born after 1/1/1993) on the pitch. Teams are allowed two on the pitch at a time and four total on the roster sheet. Karen Gómez (25) and Norma Gaitan (25) started, and Andrea Ortega (26) was subbed on in the 76th minute. All three were on until the 83rd when Gaitan was subbed out. Gaitan’s 8th minute goal was stricken from the record, although Lobos BUAP Femenil’s Abigail De Jesus will get to keep hers.

Veracruz 1, Tijuana 2: Xolos Femenil get their first win in the Gerardo Romo era with a 2-1 victory on the road. Goals from Valeria Barajas in the ninth minute and Sheila Pulido in the twelfth sealed Tijuana’s first victory since July 30th. Wendy Morales scored the lone Tiburones Rojos goal.
León 2, Tigres UANL 1: When Lizbeth Ovalle scored her third of the season in the eleventh minute, one could have been forgiven for assuming that Tigres would cruise to another lopsided victory. But Perla Navarrete capitalized on Tigres’ defensive mistakes in the 68th and Selene Valera hit a volley off of a corner kick in stoppage to give Tigres their first regular-season loss since April 2, 2018.

Pachuca 0, Puebla 0: For two teams known for their offensive prowess, a 0-0 draw did not seem very likely but it happened as Pachuca and Puebla played 90 scoreless minutes.
Santos Laguna 1, Monarcas Morelia 1: Cinthya Peraza gave the hosts the lead as the clock struck 45 minutes off of a corner kick, but Morelia’s Dalia Molina would level the match in the 55th on a close range effort. Morelia gets their first point of the season, while Santos currently sits second in the Group 2 standings.
