Orbelin Pineda and Raul Jimenez out for match against USMNT

Chivas midfielder Orbelin Pineda is set to miss Mexico’s game against the United States Men’s National Team on Tuesday after picking up an injury in training, the Mexican Federation announced early on Monday.

Pineda travelled to Guadalajara to complete his recovery with Chivas after he was deemed not fit enough to face the United States.

In addition to Pineda, ESPN journalist Leon Lecanda is reporting that Raul Jimenez will also miss the game against the U.S. Jimenez will travel back to England at the petition of his club, Wolverhampton.

In total, Mexico will face the United States with seven absences. Three have been through injury: Orbelin Pineda, Carlos Salcedo, and Rodolfo Pizarro. Meanwhile, the other four were at the request of their clubs: Guillermo Ochoa, Hirving “Chucky” Lozano, Erick Gutierrez, and Raul Jimenez.

The United Sates will also face Mexico with a number of ley absences, including star center back John Brooks of Wolfsburg.
