This year’s edition of the Europa League will have an abundance of Mexican players. On Friday, the draw for the Group Stage took place in Monaco as Guillermo Ochoa, Diego Reyes, Andres Guardado, Miguel Layun, and Carlos Salcedo all learned who they will face in their Group Stage fixtures.

Standard Liege and Guillermo Ochoa were placed in Group J with Sevilla, FC Krasnodar, and Turkish side Akhisar Belediyespor.

Real Betis and Andres Guardado ended up in one of the tougher groups in the tournament, with AC Milan, Olympiakos, and newcomers F91 Dudelange in Group G.

Meanwhile, Carlos Salcedo’s Eintracht Frankfurt is in Group H with Marseille, Lazio, and Apollon Limassol. Miguel Layun and Villarreal headline Group G, along with Spartak Moscow, Rapid Wien, and Glasgow Rangers.

Finally, Diego Reyes and his new club Fenerbahçe are in Group D with Anderlecht, Dinamo Zagreb, and Spartak Trnava.
