PSV Eindhoven and BATE Borisov played to a five-goal thriller as the Dutch champions obtained a 3-2 advantage heading into the second leg of their Champions League Play-off.
Hirving “Chucky” Lozano was once again on target for PSV, scoring their second goal of the match in the 61st minute. The young Mexican forward has scored in each one of PSV’s last three matches, previously scoring in their opener against FC Ultrecht and this past weekend against Fortuna Sittard.

PSV will look to close out their series over BATE and earn a place in the UEFA Champions League Group stage when they play the Belorussian side a second time next week at the Philips Stadion.
In the case PSV do reach the Group Stage, Lozano would be one of three Mexican players in the Champions League, joining Hector Herrera and Jesus Manuel “Tecatito” Corona.
