The Clásico Capitalino’s defensive matchup was balanced by two lopsided wins in another week of Liga MX Femenil play.
Cruz Azul 0, Puebla 0: Cruz Azul conceded a staggering twelve corner kicks in the Week 5 opener against Puebla, but it only resulted in two shots on goal and no actual goals. Cruz Azul is still winless in five.

Necaxa 1, Tigres 3: Alison González scored her league-leading sixth goal in the 21st minute as Tigres downed a shorthanded Necaxa 3-1 in Aguascalientes. Andrea Villalobos got Necaxa’s lone goal in the 33rd, but Nancy Antonio and Evelyn González would score to give Tigres their fourth win of the season. Lucia Muñoz was sent off in the second minute of stoppage time, so she’ll miss Necaxa’s match against Querétaro on August 24th.
