Hirving “Chucky” Lozano continues to be one of the more outstanding Mexican performers in European fútbol and yesterday he continued his impressive start to the Dutch Eredivisie with another goal.
Lozano had already scored for PSV in their opener against FC Ultrecht, and this time, his latest victim was the newly promoted Fortuna Sittar. With the match scoreless after 30 minutes, Chucky executed a lovely backheel finish that ended with him giving PSV the lead.
While technically, the goalkeeper got a hand on it and the ball didn’t cross the line until the subsequent play, it was still a nice piece of skill by Lozano. PSV ended up winning the game 2-1 thanks to a last-minute goal by 19-year-old Belgian youth international Dante Rigo.
Lozano’s next game is arguably one of PSV’s most important matches of the season, as they take on FC BATE Barisov in the First Leg of the UEFA Champions League Play-off.
