Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente press release

The teams are starting to separate themselves a bit, with Chivas and Tijuana leading their respective groups.

Cruz Azul 0, Club América 3: Las Águilas dominated their cross-town rivals in a chippy affair. Alejandra Curiel got the scoring started in the 20th minute on a shot that goalkeeper Mariana Zárraga tipped but couldn’t quite stop. Vannya García doubled América’s lead in the 49th minute on a shot from inside the 18 yard box. 37

Pumas 2, Veracruz 0: Hireri Velázquez hit a fantastic arcing chip in the 37th minute and Ana López added an insurance goal in stoppage to give Pumas their first win of the season. Veracruz is still winless on the season.

Puebla 0. Lobos BUAP 0: Karla Morales of Puebla made the only save of the match as the sides played out a 0-0 draw in the first ever Clásico Poblano in Liga MX Femenil.

Chivas 3, Santos Laguna 1: Norma Duarte scored twice for Chivas as the Goats downed Santos Laguna 3-1. Dania Pérez scored the other goal for Chivas while Olga Trasviña got the consolation for Santos. Chivas has only allowed one goal all season, which is best in Liga MX Femenil.

Monarcas Morelia 1, Monterrey 1: Monterrey started strong but faded over the course of the match, drawing 1-1 with Monarcas Morelia. Daniela Solís scored in the 33rd minute for Rayadas, while Madeline Pasco was able to equalize for Monarcas in the 72nd.

Tigres UANL 2, Atlas 2: Alison González scored twice for Tigres while Ana Rodríguez and Fabiola Ibarra scored to salvage a draw for Atlas. González is quickly making a name for herself in Liga MX Femenil, leading the league with four goals in three games and being able to do this.

Club Tijuana 1, Pachuca 0: Rosa Aguiar scored on a perfectly set up goal as Xolos Femenil downed Pachuca 1-0 at Estadio Caliente.
