As you probably know by now, Mexico face a tough task ahead when they take on Brazil in the 2018 World Cup Round of 16. While Mexico have reached the Round of 16 in seven straight tournaments, they haven’t qualified to a Quarterfinals stage since 1986. Apparently, Bud Light has promised that if Mexico were to beat Brazil and break this so-called “curse”, the whole state of California will get free beer.

A few months ago, Bud Light promised Philadelphia Eagles fans something similar, free beer if their team ended up winning the Super Bowl. They kept on their promise and supplied free beer all along the Eagles’s championship parade route. Now, they want to do the same if El Tri get the surprise win over Brazil.
The @Eagles of Philadelphia have emerged victorious! Join us with @LaneJohnson65 and your 21+ friends at taverns along the parade route to raise one of the Kingdom’s favorite light lagers. #PhillyPhilly #DillyDilly pic.twitter.com/30ptis8xIC

Speaking of beer, Mexico fans haven’t had enough of celebrating with their South Korean counterparts over handing El Tri a place in the Round of 16. This time, another famous beer brand, “Estrella Jalisco”, decided to send the South Korean embassy in Washington a case full of beer with a thank you note on the side.
