Barcelona interested in signing Hirving Lozano — report

22-year-old Hirving “Chucky” Lozano has gathered plenty of interest following his goalscoring performance against Germany. According to ESPN, one of those teams now interested in contracting the young Mexican forward is current Spanish champions Barcelona.

Lozano had been linked with Barcelona in the past, but those rumors are now sure to intensify after his head-turning performance against the reigning world champions. “Chucky” scored the only goal in Mexico’s 1-0 win over Germany.

It was revealed earlier in the year that Lozano had joined up with famous fútbol super agent Mino Raiola, the same agent that represents the likes of Paul Pogba and Marco Verratti. A decision that will, no doubt, help Lozano in his quest to join one of Europe’s elite teams.

One possible obstacle at Barcelona is that the Blaugranas already have three non-European players in their squad: Philippe Coutinho, Paulinho and Yerry Mina. In order for Lozano to arrive to Barcelona, one of those three players would need to depart the club or apply for Spanish citizenship.

Other teams that have been rumored to show interest in Lozano recently include Arsenal and Inter Milan.
