Liga MX Clausura Week 15: Top 5 Goals of the Week

The Liguilla is almost here and the goals keep getting better and better in the Liga MX.

5. Milton Caraglio

Atlas aren’t really playing for anything right now. They’re safe from relegation. They can’t make the Liguilla anymore. They’re just kind of there. However, that still hasn't stopped Los Zorros from racking up points. Or from Caraglio scoring absolute masterpieces like the one below. The only reason it isn't higher on the list is because he might have controlled it with his hand. Oops. Atlas beat Queretaro 1-0 on Friday.

4. Eduardo Vargas

The next three goals are all from the same game. After scoring only one goal all season, Edu gave Tigres the lead late in the second half of the Clasico Cementero with this shot from outside the box.

3. Jürgen Damm

Before Tigres took the lead, they had to tie the game courtesy of Damm’s accidental volley. He didn't mean to do it, but maybe that’s a good thing. Before now, Damm hadn't scored in the league since May of 2017. Here’s to more mistakes, Jürgen!

2. Martin Cauteruccio

Fútbol is as mental as it is physical. There are just some things that motivate players to the point of having an incredible game. In this case, Caute showed up and showed off for his birthday. While celebrating his 31st, the Uruguayan striker had his best game of the season after scoring a brace to give La Maquina a point against Tigres. He capped his stellar performance off with this great goal. Hugo Ayala’s ankles will never be the same again. Cruz Azul tied 2-2 with Tigres on Saturday.
