Mexico’s first trophy of the year is on the line when Necaxa play host to Toluca at the Estadio Victoria. Two of Mexico’s most historic teams face off for a chance to lift the 2018 Clausura Copa MX title.

The Rayos have been far from spectacular but come into this final after eliminating Atlas, Pumas, and Santos Laguna in the knockout phase. Consistency has been key for Ignacio Ambriz’s men, and slowly but surely, Necaxa have been able to get the job done to get to their second Cup final in two years.

Meanwhile, Toluca are the hottest team in all of Mexico right now. The Diablos Rojos are top of the league in Liga MX and are in their first Copa MX final since 1989. They arrive to this match on the back of 11 straight games without a defeat, including 10 victories. Toluca, though, have had a relatively easy path to the final, with all their knockout phase games coming against Ascenso MX sides.

Will it be the Rayos or the Diablos Rojos?
