Mexico name U-17 team for the Copa UC Sub-17

Mexico will participate in the tournament in Chile as they prepare for next year’s U-17 World Cup qualifiers.

Mexico has named their U-17 squad that will go to the Copa Universidad Catolica Sub-17 tournament in Chile.

Of note is the inclusion of Mexican American prospect Efrain Alvarez, who has been in the eye of both Mexico and the U.S.

Mexico will open the tournament against Paraguay on Wednesday. On Thursday they will face Ecuador before closing their group participation against host Chile.

Mexico previously won the tournament in 2016. This year’s side will be coached once again by Marco Antonio “Chima” Ruiz.
