For the second time in his career, Tigres UANL’s Andre-Pierre Gignac finished as the top goal scorer in Liga MX with 14 goals. The first instance was in the Clausura 2016, Gignac was the highest goal scorer with a total of 13 goals.
Gignac, 32, has been a fundamental piece for Tigres since he joined in 2015. Since then he has played 161 games, won 7 titles with the team and scored 94 goals across all competitions. Gignac stands as the second leading goal scorer with Tigres behind Tomás Boy - in just a span of three years! Gignac also has scored 19 goals registered in the Liguilla.
Recently, the French striker extended his contract for two more seasons, in which this placed Gignac as one of the most influential foreigners that have placed their mark in the Liga MX.
