After Cruz Azul and Club América finished scoreless in the First Leg, everything will be on the line when Cementeros and Águilas face off for a second time at the Estadio Azteca to decide the winner of the 2018 Liga MX Apertura.

From the start, this was the dream final. The two best teams during the regular season, and a Clásico to top it all off. Games just don’t get bigger than this in Mexico.

On the one hand, Club América can carve themselves into the history books by becoming the most winning team in the history of Mexican Football. It would also be the successful culmination of the sporting project started in 2017 with Miguel Herrera at the helm.

On the other hand, Cruz Azul have what seems like a genuinely historic opportunity to not only lift their first title in 21 years, but to do it against their biggest rival. La Máquina has had to endure two difficult decades of failures and the branding of habitual losers, but now they are closer than ever to tasting glory once again.

So who will it be? Will Miguel Herrera and his Águilas win lucky number 13? Or will Cruz Azul exorcise their demons on their way to a generation-defining victory?
