Villarreal defender Miguel Layun will return to the Mexico squad, while there continues to be no room for veterans like Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and Hector Moreno.
Guillermo Ochoa is also back after missing Mexico’s last two friendlies, and for the first time since the 2018 World Cup, fellow goalkeeper Jose de Jesus Corona also makes the cut.
El Tri will face Argentina in Cordoba’s Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on November 16 and will face Argentina again four days later at Estadio Malvinas Argentinas in Mendoza.
