Mexico defeated Argentina by the score of 2-0 to win the Four-Nations Tournament held in the Centro de Alto Rendimiento (CAR) in Mexico City. This is the third straight time El Tri wins the tournament, doing so this year with a perfect record. Mexico only got scored once in the tournament after they defeated Chile 3-1 and the United States 2-0 before their meeting against Argentina. Eugenio Pizzuto and Israel Luna where the goalscorers, both doing so in the first half of the game.
Mexico was proclaimed champion with nine points after winning all three games. Argentina finished second with six points, and Chile and the US were tied in third with one point and identical goal differential/goals scored. Mexico swept the individual prices with Eduardo Garcia being named the top goalkeeper, Israel Luna winning the Golden Boot and Eugenio Pizzoto being given the Golden Ball.
Mexico is preparing itself for the U-17 CONCACAF Championship, which will give places for the U-17 World Cup in Peru.
