Monterrey’s Jonathan Gonzalez was one of 23 players chosen by Mexico coach Juan Carlos Osorio for their upcoming friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

El Tri will face Bosnia and Herzegovina on January 31 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas in Mexico’s first preparation game ahead of this summer’s 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The dos Santos brothers and Carlos Vela make it three Major League Soccer players in the 23-man roster, while the rest of the squad is Liga MX-based.

For U.S.-Mexico dual national Jonathan Gonzalez this is his first call up since opting to represent Mexico instead of the USA earlier this month. Other noteworthy inclusions are Pachuca’s Victor Guzman and Club America’s Henry Martin.
