Miguel Layun returned scoring ways on Tuesday as FC Porto bounced back from a 3-1 defeat to Beskitas in the opening match day of the Champions League Group Stage to beat AS Monaco 3-0.
Miguel Layun came on as a second half substitute in the 71st minute, with Hector Herrera and Jesus Manuel “Tecatito” Corona getting the start. Diego Reyes also saw playing time, coming on for the last four minutes of play.
It’s a rare sight, but every Mexican at FC Porto played in the win over Monaco. #ElTriEng

FC Porto scored the breakthrough in the 31st minute through Vincent Aboubakar before doubling their lead in the second period with another goal from the Cameroonian international.
Layun then put the finishing touches to the Portuguese win when he took advantage of a rebounded ball inside the box to smash home the 3-0 scoreline.
Porto’s next Champions League game will be on October 17 against German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
