Carlos Salcedo will continue his career in Europe after his loan with Fiorentina expired. The Italian side decided not to use their buy option on the Mexican International after he played 20 matches for the club this season. However, Chivas have found a new loan partner for El Titan. Salcedo will join Marco Fabian at Eintrach Frankfurt for a 1 year loan with a buy option. It is a similar structure to his Fiorentina deal.

Before his move to Italy, Carlos Salcedo was heavily linked to a few Bundesliga clubs. It was even reported that Chivas were in advanced talks with one German club. A move never materialized and Fiorentina eventually came in with a loan offer. He will be the second Mexican centerback to make a move this European transfer window with Moreno being sold to Roma happening earlier today. This move will keep him in Europe and please Juan Carlos Osorio’s wishes of having more Mexicans in Europe.
Good move for Salcedo or should he have returned home to Chivas?
