Soccer: 2018 FIFA World Cup Qulafying-Mexico at USA Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

It is arguably one of the biggest games in all of world futbol. Mexico play host to the United States at the Estadio Azteca.

Mexico arrive to this grand match undefeated in World Cup qualifying, while the Stars and Stripes will look to make history and earn their first ever World Cup qualifying victory at the Estadio Azteca.

Make no mistake, this game is huge for both teams. There is nothing more Mexico would like than to virtually see a place in the World Cup against their biggest rivals. On the other hand, the United States would like to exact revenge following their defeat to Mexico in Columbus, Ohio.

Juan Carlos Osorio’s men arrive on the back of an impressive 3-0 victory over Honduras. The United States last beat Trinidad and Tobago 2-0.

Fitness wise, El Tri will be without four key players. Captains Rafael Marquez and Andres Guardado will miss out, while Miguel Layun and Nestor Araujo also picked up knocks. This, of course, is something Bruce Arena’s men will look to take advantage of, though history isn’t exactly on their side. The United States has never been able to beat Mexico at the Estadio Azteca in an official game, and currently, Mexico haven’t even conceded a goal at home in this Hexagonal.
