After a convincing 2-0 victory in the first leg, Tigres will look to wrap up their place in the CONCACAF Champions League Final when they visit the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday.
The regiomontanos know that this year’s CCL presents them with a genuine opportunity at winning their first ever international title. Ricardo Ferretti’s men have been arguably the tournament’s most talented side, and a good result in Vancouver would place Tigres face to face with Pachuca in the CCL Final.
Tigres, though, don’t come into this match in the best of shapes. If there was ever an opportunity to take down the Liga MX champs, it is now. Tigres were shocked at home by last-placed Leon over the weekend and currently sit 13th in the league table.
That said, the Whitecaps are carrying some momentum. Carl Robinson’s team beat the LA Galaxy 4-2 on Saturday and know an early goal here could make things interesting against the Liga MX champs.
