Win and you are in. That’s the name of the game on Saturday as Club America host Atlas at the Estadio Azteca.

Las Aguilas arrive on the back of a shaky week that started with defeat to Santos Laguna in the final minute of last week’s match. The team also made news outside the field when it was announced club president, Ricardo Pelaez, was officially stepping down.

Of course, all of this matters very little when the initial whistle blows, and at the Estadio Azteca, Las Aguilas have looked near perfect. In fact, Ricardo La Volpe’s men have not lost or conceded at home this season.

Atlas, though, have been one of the surprise teams of the tournament. The Rojinegros are virtually a win a way from sealing a place in the Liguilla, and the players have been relishing the opportunity all week to take down the 12-time champs. The last two visits to the Azteca have ended with an Atlas victory, so a win here wouldn’t be out of the question for the Tapatios.
