Chiapas FC

Don’t look now but Chiapas are all of a sudden struggling for survival in Liga MX. Jaguares arrive to this game on the back of a goalless draw with Leon, and as things stand, they are penultimate in the relegation table. It almost seems like their thrilling 4-3 win over Chivas in Week 8 was a bad omen, as the team from Southern Mexico has now gone five straight league games without a win. At home and in front of their own home fans, Sergio Bueno’s men have little margine for error.

Club Tijuana

Xolos were the real winners during the midweek Liga MX action. Thanks to their win over Queretaro on Wednesday, Tijuana cut the gap at the top of the table to just three points. With only four games remaining in the season, Tijuana know that four points will be enough to clinch a spot in the Liguilla. A positive result here would put Miguel Herrera’s side in the driver’s seat for the “Fiesta Grande”.
