Thanks to an Alan Pulido brace, Chivas moved to the top of the Liga MX table with a 2-0 win over Toluca on Saturday.
Matias Almeyda’s men took full advantage of Toluca’s lack of discipline as the Diablos Rojos finished the match with nine men.
Chivas forward Alan Pulido, who had looked rusty in previous matches, opened the scoring in the 32nd minute when he fired in a superb through ball from Isaac Brizuela.

As you might expect, it was a pivotal moment in the match, and immediately after, Rubens Sambueza was sent off for a rash tackle on Brizuela.
Toluca did regain some control early in the second half, but that was quickly undone in the 73rd minute when Alan Pulido rifled home his second goal of the night.

Things went from bad to worse for the visitors when Gabriel Hauche was sent off moments later, leaving Toluca down to nine men and essentially clinching Chivas all three points.
