Third and fourth place in the league table clash as Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara play host to Toluca on Saturday.

The Goats arrive on the back of a catastrophic result to Chiapas that saw Matias Almeyda’s side surrender a 2-0 lead, en route to a 4-3 defeat in the “selva chiapaneca”. Toluca, on the other hand, don’t arrive in the best of spirits either. The Diablos Rojos were 3-1 losers at home to Puebla in one of the shock-results of last week’s jornada.

Chivas will be without talismanic center-back Jair Pereira after the defender was suspended for an elbow to an opponent’s face in the previous match. This could play in Toluca’s hands as they boast of being the best away team in the first half of the Liga MX season. In total, the Diablos Rojos have accumulated seven points and remain undefeated with two wins and one draw.

The good news for fans of the Rebaño is the Diablos Rojos have not won in Tapatio territory since the Apertura 2012. The last win for the Diablos Rojos in Jalisco was a 2-1 win in the quarterfinals of that tournament where Antonio Rios and Sinha were the scorers for Toluca.
