It’s by far one of the most engaging ties between a Major League Soccer side and a Liga MX side in recent memory. FC Dallas play host to Pachuca in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League semifinal tie.
Oscar Pareja’s side has long-been one of the model clubs in Major League Soccer, and in Pachuca, they will be facing one of the most consistent organizations in recent Liga MX history.
Dallas arrive as the current Supporters’ Shield champions and on the back of a scoreless draw with Sporting KC. Meanwhile, Pachuca are on one-week rest, after a referee strike put halt to Week 10 of Liga MX.
The bad news for Pachuca and neutrals alike is star-player Hirving Lozano will be out through a foot injury. This means good news for Dallas, though, who will be looking to obtain some sort of advantage as they head into the second leg in Mexico.
