After a weekend marred by a referee strike that paused Week 10 of Liga MX, Tigres return to action on Tuesday as they take on Vancouver Whitecaps in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League semifinals clash.

Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti’s men remain the favorites to win the tournament, and arrive on the back of an undefeated streak that stretches through five matches in all competitions.

Meanwhile, the Whitecaps fell 3-2 to the surprising San Jose Earthquakes over the weekend, but can boast of being one of only two undefeated CCL teams remaining in the competition.

Of course, the fact that this is an away game for Vancouver means they will want to go into the second leg with some sort of advantage. But against a side with the likes of Andre-Pierre Gignac and Eduardo Vargas, the balance seems tipped in the regiomontanos’ favor.
