Chiapas comeback stuns Chivas in 4-3 thriller

Chiapas scored three times in a space of four minutes as they wiped out a 2-0 deficit to eventually claim a thrilling 4-3 victory over Chivas on Sunday.

Chivas made a high-tempo start and took the lead under three minutes when Rodolfo Pizarro fired in a rebounded shot.

The visitors were then two goals for the good after Angel Zaldivar beat Moises Munoz from the penalty spot.

Early in the second half, Chivas suffered their first major setback when Felix Araujo headed in a corner to pull Chiapas within one.

Soon afterwards, things went from bad to worse for Chivas as a penalty was called for a foul on Jonathan Fabbro. The same Fabbro stepped up and leveled the score at two goals a piece.

Fresh off their equalizer, Lucas Silva completed the comeback just moments later through a right-footed shot from outside the box.

But Chiapas were not done, and in the 72nd minute, Luis Leal whipped in a powerful finish past Rodolfo Cota to put things at 4-2.

Chivas set up a thrilling finish when Rodolfo Pizarro connected with an Angel Zaldivar cross, but Chiapas repelled Guadalajara’s final push to earn a remarkable victory at the Estadio Victor Manuel Reyna.
