Fresh off their Clasico Nacional victory over las Aguilas, Chivas pay a tough visit to Chiapas in search of their third straight league victory of the season.
Matias Almeyda’s men are on something of a roll, undefeated in their last eight games in all competitions, and arrive on the back of an impressive victory over their arch rivals.
Historically, though, Chiapas has proven to be a tough fixture for the Rebaño Sagrado, especially at the Estadio Victor Manuel Reyna. In fact, Chivas’ last victory at Chiapas was in the Torneo Clausura 2016.
Interestingly enough, Chiapas has earned the trademark of being something of a giant-killer this season. Although Sergio Bueno’s side has acquired defeats to Veracruz, Morelia, and Puebla, they have also been able to take down Toluca, Tigres, and Club America.
Stylistically, both teams are among the most entertaining in the league, which means this should be a must-watch game in “la selva”.
