Oribe Peralta on target twice as Club America conquer Clasico Joven over Cruz Azul

Oribe Peralta was on target twice as Club America piled on the misery on coach Paco Jemez and Cruz Azul, beating La Maquina 2-0 at the Estadio Azteca on Saturday.

Las Aguilas were outplayed for much of the early contest, but they did create problems for Cruz Azul on the break and on set pieces.

In the 29th minute, it was a Michael Arroyo corner that was met by Oribe Peralta, who headed home the opener for America.

Cruz Azul’s best chance to equalize came close to halftime when Jorge Benitez was able to latch on to a long-ball, only to fail a 1 v 1 situation against Agustin Marchesin. The Cementeros have been woeful finishing their chances and proved to be wasteful once again.

In the second half, things went from bad to worse for Cruz Azul when Enzo Roco was sent off for a second yellow.

Oribe Peralta, who had been devastatingly good all game for Las Aguilas, then sealed the victory in the 82nd by poking home his second of the night and giving the azulcremas another Clasico Joven victory.
