One game away from a dream Liga MX Final Regia. Monterrey play host to Monarcas Morelia, who need to score twice to have any chance of taking down the first-seeded Rayados.

After Tigres’ thumping of Club America on Saturday, Monterrey can close out the deal at home and set-up the first ever Liga MX Final Regia. Antonio “Turco” Mohamed’s men earned a 1-0 victory in the first leg, which means the only way Monarcas Morelia can prevent an all Nuevo Leon final is by scoring at least twice in Monterrey’s home.

The good news for Monarcas Morelia is that they already know what it means to beat Monterrey there in a must-win game. In fact, it was in last May when Morelia needed a win in the last game of the season to avoid relegation, and thanks to a last-minute effort from Raul Ruidiaz earned an emphatic 2-1 win in Monterrey. The same scoreline today would be enough to give Roberto Hernandez’s side a shock win over the heavy favorites and knock them out of the Liguilla.

So, what will it be? Will it be a Final Regia or does Monarcas Morelia have one final surprise up their sleeve?
