You can subscribe to my Mexicans Abroad calendar here. Let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve it. Let’s recap the weekend:

Jona Dos Santos (Galaxy): Club season is over

Gio Dos Santos (Galaxy): Club season is over

Cubo Torres (Dynamo): Did not get off the bench in the first leg of the Dynamo’s playoff series versus the Sounders.

Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad): Another appearance off the bench for Vela where he was mostly a ghost.

Hector Moreno (AS Roma): Did not get off the bench, stuck on 227 Serie A minutes this season.

Raul Jimenez (Benfica): Did not get off the bench in Benfica’s 6-0 win. Jimenez has 308 minutes in the Champions League and 229 league minutes.

Miguel Layun (Porto): Did not make the gameday squad.

Tecatito Corona (Porto): 2 Yellow cards in 11 minutes saw his day end in the 52nd minute.

Hector Herrera (Porto): Started and wore the captain’s armband. He finished with 5 key passes in Porto’s 1-1 draw versus Aves. He is in the top 10 in key passes per 90 minutes in the league.

Diego Reyes (Porto): Never left the bench

Raul Gudino (APOEL): Did not get off the bench

Joao Maleck (Porto U19): Another 90 minute shift and another goal for the Santos product. He now has 9 in 15 games with the U19 squad.

Paolo Medina (Benfica U19): The former Real Madrid youth player had another 90 minutes at right back over the weekend.

Antonio Briseno (CD Feirense): Plays on Monday, 11/27.

Hirving Lozano (PSV): Chucky reached double digits in Eredivisie goals in only 915 minutes. He also picked up another MOTM Award from WhoScored.

Uriel Antuna (FC Groningen): Made the bench but did not see any action

Chicharito (West Ham): Injured

Carlos Salcedo (Eintracht Frankfurt): Not the best game for Frankfurt as a whole, Salcedo included. The on-loan Chivas player started in his usual spot on the right side of a 3 man back line and went 87 minutes.

Marco Fabian (Eintracht Frankfurt): Injured

Guillermo Ochoa (Standard Liege): Memo kept another shut out and picked up a penalty save as his side won 2-0. After a really poor start to the season, Standard has crept up the standings and are now up to 6th in the league.

Omar Govea (Royal Mouscron): Rough weekend for Mouscron as they fell 3-1. Govea had his shortest outing of the season at 61 minutes.

Lalo Herrera (Rangers): Came on at halftime for an injured Alfredo Morelos.

Carlos Pena (Rangers): Did not get off the bench

La Estrella de la Semana

Andres Guardado (Real Betis): WhoScored gave Guardado the MOTM Award as Real Betis tied it late against Girona. As has been the case this season, Andres was all over the field for Betis. He had 5 shots, 2 dribbles, 2 tackles, 1 interception and that beauty above. El Principito is averaging 1 goal or assist every 142 mins in La Liga.
