Matias Almeyda’s men travel to Queretaro for a date with Gallos Blancos in action of Week 4 of Liga MX.

The Tapatios arrive on the back of a heartbreaking 1-0 defeat to Xolos de Tijuana that saw them concede a goal against the run of play late in the game. Matias Almeyda and Co., though, will be boosted by the returns of Jair Pereira and Jose Juan “Gallito” Vazquez, who both saw red two weeks ago against Monterrey.

Against arguably one of the worst teams currently in the league, Chivas will want to take advantage ahead of a month of February that sees them go up against rivals Atlas and Club America.

Speaking of Queretaro, they have been just that — one of the worst teams in the league. After three weeks of play, Gallos Blancos are the only team in the Clausura yet to score a goal. Their last presentation was a dreadful game against Puebla where both teams eventually settled for a goalless draw.

The last time both teams met was last season’s Copa MX final. Although the game ended 0-0 in regular time, Queretaro went on to win the game on penalties. Here, they will be hoping they get the best out of the Rebaño for a second game running.
